Government Consultation Now Open:The Control of Lead at Work Regulations (2002) 

New proposals could seriously affect those working in stained glass craft, conservation and associated heritage industries. The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) has launched a consultation to seek stakeholder views on the proposals to update blood lead exposure levels in current regulations, codes of practice and guidance. HSE is also taking the opportunity to gather evidence about ‘lead in air’ monitoring. The deadline for consultation responses is 24 May 2026.
