This is a unique chance to see the State Apartments in the Speaker’s House in the House of Commons. The Master Glazier will talk about the British Family windows which he and his team created. They celebrate the historic association with the British Overseas Territories and the Crown Dependencies and bring a new sense of light and colour to the entrance to the Speaker’s House.
It will also be possible to see the Master Glazier’s magnificent window in Westminster Hall, gifted to Queen Elizabeth II by both Houses of Parliament to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee.
The tour is limited to 20 people and so is open only to members of the Glaziers’ Company, to enable as many members as possible to attend. The ticket price is £25.
The tour will be followed by an optional early meal at Cafe Pacifico, a Mexican restaurant in Covent Garden where John Reyntiens worked for many years before establishing himself as a glass artist. Details of this will follow.
